The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Kingdom of
Swaziland presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of
Swaziland, and has the honor to refer to the latter ’ s Note
No. 02/2012 of February 15, 2012, regarding the renewal of the
Agreement of Agricultural Technical Cooperation between the
Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Kingdom of Swaziland, which
expired on January 10, 2012.
Upon instruction, the Embassy proposes that the said Agreement
be extened retrospectively for another three years, in
accordance with Article IV therein, with effect form the
original expiry date. The Embassy also notes that the two
Parties have agreed to make amendments as follows:
1. For the English version of the Agreement, ‘ the Republic of
China ’ will be revised as ‘ the Republic of China (Taiwan)
’.
2. The original content of Article I 2.(b) will be deleted and
replaced with: ‘ to demonstrate at project farms in the
Kingdom of the Swaziland the rearing of small livestock or
other livestock as determined by the two Governments;
3. The original content of Article I 2.(c) will be deleted and
replaced with the content of the original Article I 2.(b).
4. Article I 2.(d), to be added, will read: ‘ to assist the
Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland in its drive to
enhance agriculture diversification and commercialization so
as to reduce its dependency on imports.
In order to complete the renewal process, the Embassy kindly
requests that the Ministry reconfirm that it concurs with the
content of this note, which is drafted in the Chinese and
English languages, both texts being equally authentic.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Kingdom of
Swaziland avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the
Kingdom of Swaziland the assurances of its highest
consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of
the Kingdom of Swaziland presents its compliments to the Embassy
of the Republic of China to the Kingdom of Swaziland and has the
honour to inform that in a bid to further promote and strengthen
the friendly relations between the two states. The kingdom of
Swaziland and the Republic of China (Taiwan) agreed to sign the
agreement of agricultural technical cooperation in order to
intensify the existing technical in the field agricultural
development in Swaziland.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of
the Kingdom of Swaziland avails itself of this opportunity to
renew to the Republic of China to the Kingdom of Swaziland the
assurances of its highest consideration.
