The National Science Council of the Republic of China (Taiwan)
and the National Science Center of the Republic of Poland
(hereinafter referred to as the “ Parties ” )

Expressing their wish to develop and deepen scientific
cooperation between the parties;

In accordance with the principles of common interest, equal
partnership and mutual benefit;

Convinced that this cooperation may contribute to better
knowledge, understanding and strengthening of versatile friendly
relationships between the Parties;

Have agreed as follows:

Article 1
Purposes
The objectives of this Agreement are to encourage exchange and
cooperation between the students, scholars and scientific
institutions from Taiwan and Poland. The scope of the
cooperation will be conducted in the fields of research agreed
the Parties.

Article 2
Cooperation in the Field of Science
The Parties will cooperate in the following collaborative
activities:
(a) Support of joint research projects conducted by researchers
of both parties.
(b) Support of joint seminars, workshops. Symposia and other
meetings.
(c) Support of preparatory Visits for planning and formulating
joint research Projects and seminars.
(d) Support of exchange of scholars and training of graduate
students, post-doctoral and young scientists
(e) Other cooperative activities by mutual consent of the
parties.

Article 3
Amendment
This Agreement may be amended at any time by the mutual written
consent of the Parties.

Article 4
Termination
This Agreement may terminated by either Party upon six months
written notice being given to the other Party. Termination will
not affect the validity of any cooperative activities or
projects aleady under way under this Agreement.

Article 5
Settlement of Disputes
Any dispute about the interpretation or application of this
Agreement will be resolved through consultations between the
Parties, and will not be referred to any national or
international tribunal or third party for settlement.

Article 6
Duration and Effective Date
This Agreement will enter into force on the date of its later
signature and will remain valid indefinitely.

In Witness whereof the undersigned. Being duly authorized
thereto, have signed this Agreement

Done in Taipei on September 28, 2012 and in Krakow on August 31,
2012 in duplicate in the English language.
