AGREEMENT ON EXCHANGE OF JUDICIAL MATERIALS BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA (AD.1985.07.08)

1.Signed on July 8, 1985; Entered into force on July 8, 1985.
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of China and the Minist-
ry of Justice of the Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to
as”the Parties”) ,
Being desirous of promoting mutual understanding in the judicial
systems between the Republic of China and the Republic of Korea,
and Having acknowledged the need to exchange literature and oth-
er materials (hereinafter referred to as the ”materials”) rel-
ating to judicial systems of both Parties, Have agreed as follow
s:
1 Method of exchanging materials
(1) Requests for the exchange of materials between the Parties
shall be made by letter.
(2) As to important publications among materials, the Parties s-
hall exchange with two copies each, to the extent possible,
even when there is no request from the other Party.
2 Contents of materials to be exchanged
Any materials relating to judicial system, law and decree, ju-
risprudence, judicial statistics, judicial precedents, etc. of
both countries shall be included among the lists to be exchan-
ged.
3 Purpose of using materials exchanged
The materials exchanged under this Agreement shall be used for
the official reference of both countries; if either Party wan-
ts to release such materials to the Public, a prior approval
from the other Party shall be obtained.
This Agreement shall enter into force upon signature by both
Parties and shall remain in force for a period of five years
unless otherwise agreed upon by both Parties.
In Witness Whereof, the undersigned, being duly authorized, h-
ave signed this Agreement.
Done at Taipei, in duplicate, in the English language, on th-
is 8th day of July, 1985.
