沿革:
1.Signed on December 17, 2010 and December 14, 2010;
Entered into Force on December 17, 2010.
This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by the Taiwan
Food and Drug Administration (hereinafter referred to as “ TFDA
” )and the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety
(hereinafter referred to as “ AGES ” ), for the purposes of
furthering cooperation and collaboration between the Parties and
fostering information exchange concerning food safety and its
related matters.
The Parties agree to cooperate on equal and reciprocal terms.
More detailed cooperation programs can be arranged further.
1. AIMS
(a) To ensure that there is adequate exchange of information
concerning food safety to the benefit of the Parties.
(b) To promote the strength of each Party in training and risk
assessment.
2. PROGRAMS
(a) Information exchange – to develop programs for information
exchange through post market surveillance and border
inspection and reports, workshops and conferences.
(b) International risk assessment programs – to promote risk
assessment corporate plans for related projects in both
countries. The objectives being to enhance risk assessment
capabilities of scientists, develop international
collaborative platforms, and enable full participation in
international food safety programs.
(c) Secondments – to facilitate collaboration on residue
control of pesticides and veterinary drugs, exposure
assessment of contamination and food additives,
microbiological contamination and related food safety
matters, between specialists in the related disciplines in
their competence, subject to the limitations of each Party.
3. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) Each Party shall determine the affordability of the annual
agreement of collaborations.
(b) Each Party is responsible for its own expenses for the above
collaboration.
(c) Each Party will bear the travel expenses of its staff during
exchange programs and visits.
4. IMPLEMENTATION AND COLLABORATION
(a) This Memorandum of Understanding will be implemented
directly between TFDA and AGES. Each Party will designate
competent agencies as contact points (TFDA and AGES are
hereby so designated by the Parties) to enhance
information-sharing between the Parties in the dealing with
food safety policy, food-borne disease or other food
contamination issues that may constitute a public health
emergency of international concern.
(b) A bilateral meeting will be held to develop and review the
joint cooperation program annually.
5. VALIDITY
The Memorandum of Understanding shall enter into force upon
the date of the later signature and remain effective until
terminated by either party upon 365 days prior notice in
writing to the other Party. This Memorandum of Understanding
may be modified by written agreement between the Parties.
This Memorandum of Understanding is done in two originals in the
English language.
