The Joint Committee governing the Agreement on Economic
Cooperation between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the
Republic of Paraguay (“ the Agreement ” ), in accordance with
its powers and pursuant to Articles 6 and 23 of the Agreement
and Decision No. 1,

DECIDES:

1.To modify the List of Products of the Republic of China
(Taiwan) in Annex 1 of the Agreement, adding the following 11
product categories — including fresh or chilled swine, frozen
bovine offal, prepared or preserved meat of bovine animals
(hamburger beef), other sugar confectionery, rice paper,
extracts of tea or mate, other food preparations, wadding of
man-made fibers and blankets of synthetic fibers — and
reducing their customs tariffs for importation into the
Republic of China (Taiwan).

2.To immediately eliminate tariffs for product categories with
the following tariff lines:

Note: These imports shall be considered as originating in the
Republic of Paraguay only if they meet the condition
specified in Subparagraph (a) of Article 3 of Annex II of
the Agreement.

Done in duplicate in the Chinese, Spanish, and English
languages, with all versions being equally authentic. In the
event of any discrepancy in the interpretation of this Decision,
the English version shall prevail.

The present decision shall enter into force thirty (30) days
after the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of
Paraguay have notified each other of the completion of the
necessary internal legal procedures.
