The Joint Committee of the Economic Cooperation Agreement
between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of
Paraguay (“ the Agreement ” ), pursuant to its powers and
according to what is established in Article 6, Article 23 of the
Agreement and Decision No.1,

DECIDES:

To modify Annex 1 of the Schedule of the Republic of China
(Taiwan) for the Republic of Paraguay of the Agreement, adding a
provision of a total tariff-free annual quota of 60,000 metric
tons of raw and refined sugar originating from the Republic of
Paraguay, inclusive of an upper limit of 50,000 metric tons of
raw sugar, and 10,000 metric tons of refined sugar to be
exported from the Republic of Paraguay to the Republic of China
(Taiwan).The Republic of Paraguay will handle the quota
allotment for the raw and refined sugar which will be granted
entry into the Republic of China (Taiwan) free of customs duties
upon receipt by Customs of The Republic of China (Taiwan) of a
Certificate of Origin and Certificate of Quota issued by the
competent government body of The Republic of Paraguay.

Done in duplicates in the Chinese, Spanish, and English
languages, all versions are equally authentic. In the event of
any discrepancy in the interpretation of this Decision, the
English version will be used as reference.

The present decision will enter into force thirty (30) days
after notifications between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and
the Republic of Paraguay stating that they have completed the
necessary legal internal procedures.
