1.The full text of 45 articles enacted and promulgated on August 11, 1995, by Hua-Zong-(1)-Yi-Zi No.5960 Order of the President；shall be in force from the date of promulgation.
2.Title and the full text of 56 articles amended and promulgated on May 26, 2010, by Hua-Zong-(1)-Yi-Zi No. 09900125121 Order of the President；date of enforcement determined by the Executive Yuan, but Articles 19, 22~43 deleted and shall be in force from the date of promulgation.(Original title：Computer-processed data protection Act; New title：Personal Data Protection Act)Except for Article 6 and Article 54, the remaining amendment was set to be effective since October 1, 2012 by the Executive Yuan Order tai-fa-zi No. 1010056845 on September 21, 2012.
3.Articles 6～8, 11, 15, 16, 19, 20, 41, 45, 53, 54 amended and promulgated on December 30, 2015, by Hua-Zong-(1)-Yi-Zi No. 10400152861 Order of the President；date of enforcement determined by the Executive Yuan.The amendment was set to be effective since March 15, 2016 by the Executive Yuan Order tai-fa-zi No. 1050154280 on February 25, 2016.
The joint announcement was made on January 10, 2019 by the Ministry of Justice Order fa-lu-zi No. 10803500010 and the National Development Council fa-fa-zi No. 1080080004A. The relevant matters set out in Article 53 and Article 55 pertaining to “The Ministry of Justice” shall be handled by “The National Development Council” as governing body.
4.Article 1-1 added, Articles 48, 56 amended and promulgated on May 31, 2023, by Hua-Zong-(1)-Jing-Zi No. 11200045441 Order of the President；except for Article 48 shall be in force from the date of promulgation, date of enforcement Article 1-1, 56 determined by the Executive Yuan.
