Dear Dr. Tsai
This is to inform you that our internal procedures have been
completed in connection with the entry into force of the Ag-
reement between the American Institute in Taiwan and the C-
oordination Council for North American Affairs concerning f-
isheries off the coast of the United States, signed June 7,
1982. Under the terms of this Agreement, it shall enter into
force following written notification of the completion of i-
nternal procedures by both parties. Consequently, we await
written notification of the completion of internal procedur-
es by CCNAA.

Dear Mr. Dean
Referring to your letter of July 29, 1982, I wish to inform
yoru of the completion of our internal procedures in connec-
tion with the entry into force of the Agreement between the
American Institute in Taiwan and the Coordination Council f-
or North American Affairs concerning fisheries off the coast
of the United States, signed June 7, l982.
As regards the exchange of the Agreement with the American
Institute in Taiwan, we would like to have it take place as
soon as possible. We want to take this opportunity to expre-
ss our appreciation for your acceding to our suggestion that
the validity of the Agreement begins on JuIy 1, 1982.

I refer to your letter of August 17, 1982, concerning the A-
merican Institute in Taiwan and the Coordination Council for
North American Affairs agreement for fisheries off the coas-
ts of the United States, signed June 7, 1982.
This will confirm that AIT agrees that said agreement enter-
ed into force on July 1, 1982.
