Dear Ms. Schrage:
With reference to your letter dated June 30, 1998 concerning a
proposed extension of the AJT-TECRO Agreement for Technical Coo-
peration in the Field of Environmental Protection, our Ministry
of Foreign Affairs has the following suggestions:
1.To use the format of ”exchange of letters”instead of”exten-
sion of agreement”.
2.To state the effective date retroactive to June 21, 1998 in t-
he exchange of letters.
We hope that the above-mentioned suggestions are acceptable to
you.
Sincerely,
[Signed]

Dear Dr. Chuang:
I refer to your letter of July 20, 1998 proposing that an exten-
sion of the AIT-TECRO Agreement for Technical Cooperation in the
Field of Environmental Protection (hereinafter referred to as t-

Since your proposal is acceptable to my authorities, this letter
together with your letter of July 20, 1998, constitute an agree-
ment between the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Of-

the Agreement, including the Purpose, Scope of Work, Authorizat-

Relationship to Other Agreements, and Entry Into Force, Amendme-
