Amendment No. 1 to the AGREEMENT ON AIR TRANSPORT SERVICES Between the Civil Aeronautics Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Taiwan and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of Slovakia

1.Signed on January 23, 2009 and March 16, 2009; Entered into force on January 23, 2009.
The Civil Aeronautics Administration of the Ministry of
Transportation and Communications of Taiwan and the Directorate
General of Civil Aviation and Water Transport of the Ministry of
Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of Slovakia agreed the
following amendment to paragraph (2) a) of Article 3 and
paragraph (1) of Article 4 of the Agreement signed on 23rd July
2007.
Paragraph (2) a) of Article 3
“a) in the case of the Slovak notified airline:
I. it is established in the territory of Slovak Republic under
the Treaty establishing the European Community and has a
valid Operating Licence in accordance with European Community
law; and
II. effective regulatory control of the airline is exercised and
maintained by the European Community Member State responsible
for issuing its Air Operator ’ s Certificate and the relevant
aeronautical authority is clearly identified in the designation.
”
Paragraph (1) of Article 4
“(1) in the case of the Slovak notified airline:
a) it is not established in the territory of Slovak Republic
under the Treaty establishing the European Community or does not
have a valid Operating Licence in accordance with European
Community law; or
b) effective regulatory control of the airline is not exercised
and maintained by the European Community Member State
responsible for issuing its Air Operator ’ s Certificate or the
relevant aeronautical authority is not clearly identified in the
designation. ”
