AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COORDINATION COUNCIL FOR NORTH AMERICAN AFFAIRS AND THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE IN TAIWAN RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN THE USNRC PROGRAM OF THERMAL-HYDRAULIC CODE APPLICATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (AD.1996.09.09)

1.Signed on September 9, 1996; Entered into force on September 9, 1996.
Article III Section C of this Agreement is amended to read as f-
ollows:
C.CCNAA Scope of Responsibility
1.Cash contribution for Code Maintenance and Improvements. At t-
he time this Agreement is signed and on the anniversary of th-
at date each year thereafter, CCNAA will transmit to AIT thir-
ty thousand U.S. dollars ($30,00O) to receive the RELAP5/MOD3
code and the associated documentation. CCNAA will transmit to
AIT an additional thirty thousand U.S. dollars ($30,000) in A-
pril of 1996 and $ 30,000 in January of 1997, in order to rec-
eive the TRAC-BF1 code and associated documentation. CCNAA wi-
ll also receive the subsequent updates of both codes and docu-
mentation which are issued during the agreement period.
2.In-Kind Contribution. CCNAA shall submit to AIT two code asse-
ssment reports per year or other work products of equivalent
value. The assessment reports shall contain assessment inform-
ation on the NRC codes that are released through this Agreeme-
nt. The content of assessment reports is defined in NUREG-1271
. AIT's designated representative, the USNRC, will have the n-
onexclusive right to publish these assessment reports contain-
ing nonproprietary information as NUREG/1A reports with proper
reference to the originating Party.
This Amendment will be effective upon signing and remain effe-
ctive until the expiration of the Agreement.
