Dear Dr. Chen:

I acknowledge receipt of your letter of March 15, which states
that:

"Reference is made to the Agreement for a Cooperative Program in
the Sales and Exchange of Technical, Scientific and Engineering
Information between American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the
Coordination Council or North American Affairs (CCNAA) that was
signed on November 17, 1987, and its extension that became
effective on August 8, 1990.

Please be advised that, as of January 16, 2005, the Science and
Technology information Center (STIC), the contractor of the
CCNAA, is no longer under the supervision of the National
Applied Research Laboratories (NARL). However, the STIC still
resume the rights and obligation related to the agreement.

This letter and your letter of acknowledgment shall constitute
an amendment to the above-mentioned agreement."

Dear Ms. Schrage:

Reference is made to the Agreement for a Cooperative Program in
the Sales and Exchange of Technical, Scientific and Engineering
Information between American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the
Coordination Council for North American Affairs (CCNAA) that was
signed on November 17, 1987, and its Extension that became
effective on August 8, 1990.

Please be advised that, as of January 16, 2005, the Science and
Technology Information Center (STIC), the contractor of the
CCNAA, is no longer under the supervision of National Science
Council. The STIC is now under the supervision of the National
Applied Research Laboratories (NARL). However, the STIC still
resume the rights and obligation related to the agreement.

This letter and your letter of acknowledgment shall constitute
an amendment to the above-mentioned agreement.
