Dear Representative Lee:

I have the honor to refer to the Air Transport Agreement between
the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Economic
and Cultural Representative office in the United States (TECRO)
signed at Washington, D.C., March 18, 1998, (the Agreement 〞 ).

In light of recent discussions between AIT and TECRO's
Designated representative, Taiwan's Civil Aerconautics
Administration, concerning removal from the Agreement of
Provisions relating to regulation of computer reservation
systems, AIT proposes that Annex III to the Agreement be
deleted. If the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative
office in the United States (TECRO) concurs with this proposal,
AIT further proposes That this letter and an affirmative letter
in reply from TECRO Shall constitute an agreement on this
subject which shall enter Into force on the date of the letter
in reply from TECRO.

Dear Ms. Schrage,

With regard to your letter dated December 11, 2006, I am writing
to inform you that my government has no objection to AIT's
proposal concerning the removal of provisions relating to
regulation of computer reservation systems in Annex III to the
Air Transport Agreement between the American Institute in Taiwan
(AIT) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office
in the United States (TECRO) signed at Washington, D.C., March
18, 1998. This change shall enter into force on the date of the
letter.

Your assistance in forwarding this message to the relevant
Authorities will be greatly appreciated.
