The Government of the Republic of China and the Government of t-
he Republic of Macedonia (hereinafter as "Parties") being desir-
ous of promoting cooperation in the field of agricultural scien-
ce and technology have agreed upon the following:

Article 1
The Parties agreed to enter into scientific and technological c-
ooperation in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery and
animal husbandry.

Article 2
The Parties agreed upon: exchange of visits, technical promotio-
ns and information as well as arrangements for vocational train-
ing through their research institutes. The methods and details
for these cooperation programs will be discussed and agreed upon
by the two Parties on a case-by-case bases.

Article 3
The present Agreement will come into force on the date of signa-
ture and will remain valid for a period of three years. Unless
none of the Parties notifies the other Party ( in writing, at l-
east six months before the expiring of the agreed validity of t-
his Agreement), on its intention to terminate the present Agree-
ment, it will be considered as automatically renewed for another
period of three years.

Done in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, in August 7,1999, in two
originals in Chinese, Macedonian and English languages, all text
being equally authentic .

In case of divergence in the interpretation, the English text w-
ill prevail.
