The Department of State for Foreign Affairs of Republic of The
Gambia presents its compliments to the Embassy of the Republic
of China (Taiwan) in Banjul, and has the honour to inform the
Embassy that the Government of The Gambia has approved to renew
the Agreement of Medical Cooperation Between the Government
of the Republic of The Gambia and the Government of the
Republic of China (Taiwan), for another period of five (05)
years, effective from the date of expiry.

The Department of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of
The Gambia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the
Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the assurances of its
highest consideration.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presents its
compliments to the Department of Stae for Foreign Affairs of the
Republic of The Gambia and has the honour to inform the latter
that the Agreement of Medical Cooperation between the Government
of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Government of the
Republic of The Gambia will expire on 18th October 2005. Through
initial consultations between the Embassy and the Office of the
President of the Republic of The Gambia it is agreed in pinciple
that the said Agreement be renewed on the same terms for another
five years. The Embassy is, thcrefore, instructed by the
Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to suggest in
accordance with Article 7 of the said Agreement that both
parties renew the Agreement through the Exchange of Notes.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has the further
honour to request that, the Department of State for Foreige
Affairs confirm the Government of The Gambias acceptance of the
aforesaid suggestion so as to complete the Exchange of Notes and
enable the Agreement to be in force henceforth until 18th
October 2010.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) avails itself of
this opportunity to renew to the Department of State for Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia the assurances of its
highest consideration.
