Upon signature by both parties, the above Technical Assistance
Agreement dated August 24, 1987, as amended, is hereby amended
as follows:
In order to carry out certain tasks under the Agreement, the Ta-
ipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United
States (TECRO -- formerly known as the Coordination Council for
North American Affairs) has designated the Ministry of Economic
Affairs (MOEA) as its representative.
Where the Agreement refers to CCNAA's designated representative,
the Taiwan Provincial Water Conservancy Bureau (TPWCB), such re-
ference shall be understood to include the MOEA where appropria-
te.
All other articles of the Agreement, as amended, remain in effe-
ct.
