After a full discussion between Minister J. Jenkins Peal of Lab-
or, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Liberia and Minister Y.S
. Tsiang of Education of the Republic of China, the two sides h-
ave reached the following understanding:
1 To exchange materials of periodicals, rules, regulations and
publications on physical education and sports.
2 To exchange personnel of staff members, scholars, teachers, s-
tudents and coaches on physical education and sports.
3 To promote competitions of various sports.
4 To provide scholarships for physical education graduate stude-
nts.
Item I can be put into immediate practice.
Items 2, 3 and 4 call for further discussions by institutions c-
oncerned in the respective countries before they are carried out
. As for expenses involved in item 2 and 3, each country will be
responsible for them.
In regard to item 4, the Republic of China will offer a scholar-
ship, which covers tuition and living expenses to a Liberian st-
udent with an understanding that the Republic of Liberian will
be responsible for his round trip travel expenses.
