The Embassy of the Republic of China presents its compliments to
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of
the Republic of Malawi and has the honour to inform the latter
that an "Agreement Between the government of the Republic of Ch-
ina and the Government of the Republic of Malawi on Technical a-
nd Vocational Cooperation" expires on December 31, 2002.
In view of this, the Embassy wishes to know if there is an inte-
ntion of the Government of the Republic of Malawi to have the a-
bove-mentioned agreement extended for another 12-month duration
effective from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2003. The esteem-
ed Ministry is kindly requested to inform this Embassy of the M-
alawi Government's decision at its earliest covenience for furt-
her transmission to Taipei.
The Embassy of the Republic of China avails itself of this oppo-
rtunity to renew to the Ministry of foreign Affairs and Interna-
tional Cooperation of the Republic of Malawi the assurances of
its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of
the Republic of Malawi presents complements to the Embassy of t-
he Republic of China and has the honuor to acknowledge receipt
of the latter's Note Verbale No.91/101 of 4th December 2002 reg-
arding extension of the Agreement between the Government of the
Republic of Malawi and the Government of the Republic of China
on Technical and vocational training Cooperation.
The Ministry wishes to inform the Embassy that it is the wish of
the Government of the Republic of Malawi to extend the abovemen-
tioned agreement for another twelve-month period effective 1st
January, 2003.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of
the Republic of Malawi avails itself of this opportunity to ren-
ew to the Embassy of the Repulbic of China the assurances of its
highest consideration.
