The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the
United States (TECRO) and the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT)
(hereinafter referred to collectively as “ the Parties ” );

Recalling the Agreement between TECRO and AIT for Technical
Assistance in Areas of Water Resource Development, signed on
August 24, 1987, as amended and extended, is hereby amended by
deleting Article XII of the Agreement and replacing it with the
following:

Article XII
Commencement and Duration of the Agreement

This Agreement becomes effective on the date of the final
signature hereafter and shall be effective until November13,
2022, unless terminated earlier by either Party. In the event of
termination of the Agreement, arrangements shall be made by the
Parties for completion of activities already underway pursuant
thereto.

All other articles of the Agreement remain in effect.
