Taipei Economic and Cultural Offic in hanoi, Vietnam (hereimaft-
er referred to as Party A) and Vietnam Economic and Cutural off-
ice in Taipei (hereinafter referred to as Party B), for the pur-
pose of promoting agricultural cooperation, have agreed as foll-
ows:

Article-I
Party A and Party B agree to enter into cooperation in the plan-
ning Production. and processing of agriculture, forestry, fishe-
ry and animal husbandry as well as rural development.

Article-II
Party A and Party B agree to exchange visits, promotetechnical
exchange, information sharing, adn arrange personnel training.
The methods and details for thesecooperation programs shall be
discussed and agreed upon by the two parties on a case-by-case
basis.

Article-III
Party A shall encourage its agricuture, forestry, fishery animal
husbandy and related processing industries to invest in vietnm.
Party B shall assist investors from party A ins establishing pr-
ocessing plants and production. and in facilitating the issue of
their entry, exit, and residential permits.

Article-IV
The present Agreement shall come into force on the date of sign-
ature and shall remain in force for a period of three years. Un-
less either Party has notified the other Party in writing of its
intention to terminate the present Agreement six months in avan-
ce, it shall be considered as automatically renewed for another
period of three years.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized on e-
half of the two Parties, have signed this agreement.

Done at hanoi, Vietnam, on the 6tj day of May 1998, in duplicate
in English language.
