June 3rd, 1963, signed between Your Excellency's Government and
the Imperial Ethiopian Government on the promotion of technical
cooperation.
In accordance with the provisions of the letter of understanding
, Your Excellency's Government made available, four Veterinary
Doctors, at the disposal of my Government, for a period of two
years.
I feel pleased, to convey to your Government , our deep gratitu-
de, for the efficient and effective services rendered by the Ch-
inese Veterinarians operating in Ethiopia. We have been extreme-
ly happy with their hard work and devotion to their profession
in controlling and eradicating animal diseases prevalent in the
area in which they were assigned.
In accordance with the provisions envisaged in paragraph 11 of
the letter of understanding, my Government wishes to renew, the
services of the four Chinese Veterinarians, for another additio-
nal three years. I hope this will be acceptable to your Governm-

Furthermore, when Ambassador Chin-ting Shen, visited Ethiopia,
the question of increasing the number of veterinarians was rais-
ed and discussed at length. We were given to understand by your
Ambassador, the possibility of increasing their numbers by addi-

with sympathy.
Therefore, my Government hopes that our request would be accept-
