ARTICLE I-PURPOSE
This Appendix to Annex 2 to Memorandum of Agreement NAT-1-845 (
the Agreement) sets forth the terms and conditions under which
the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), through its designated
representative the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will
provide civil aviation related training to the Taipei Economic
and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in the United States,
formerly the Coordination Council for North American Affairs (C-
CNAA).
ARTICLE II-DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
A.AIT, through its designated representative the FAA, will arra-
nge for two specialists with backgrounds in certification and
engineering to conduct for TECRO a three (3) day training cou-
rse on FAA Technical Standards Orders (TSO) on or about May 17
, 1998. The course will address the development of TSO perfor-
mance standards, certification requirements, and compliance p-
rocedures.
B.Should additional services be required, the date, duration, a-
nd estimated cost of such services will be agreed to by the P-
arties in a written amendment to this Appendix or in a separa-
te appendix.
ARTICLE III-FINANCIAL PROVISIONS
A.The estimated cost for two specialists for the referenced per-
iod is fifteen thousand, seven hundred fifty one (15,751.00) U
.S. dollars, which includes salary and benefits, transportati-
on, per diem, AIT support and an administrative overhead char-
ge.
B.TECRO will reimburse AIT for the actual costs incurred by AIT
in providing the services under this Appendix and an administ-
rative overhead charge.
C.AIT bills will contain a reference to the Appendix Number NAT
-I-845-2-1 and billing number NI8011TW8 (which is the number
assigned to identify this Appendix and which will be referred
to in all related correspondence), and will be supported with
a summary of charges. All AIT bills will be forwarded to TECRO
at:

D.TECRO will pay all bills in accordance with Article III of An-
nex 2, Amendment I and Article III of the Agreement, payments

ARTICLE IV-ENTRY INTO FORCE AND TERMINATION
This Appendix will enter into force on the date of the last sig-

AIT and TECRO agree to the provisions of this Appendix as indic-
ated by the signature of their duly authorized representatives.

TEMPORARY DUTY ASSIGNMENT
ARTICLE I-PUBPOSE

the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), through its designated
representative the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will

ARTICLE II-UESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
A.AIT, through its designated representative FAA, will arrange
for two specialists with backgrounds in conformity inspection
to conduct for TECRO a five (5) day training course in Confor-
mity Inspection on or about April 18, 1998. The course will p-
rovide a detailed description of the conformity inspection pr-
ocess as well as familiarize the participants with associated
FAA documentation.
B.Should additional services be required, the date, duration, a-
nd estimated cost of such services will be agreed to by the P-
arties in a written amendment to this Appendix or in a separa-
te appendix.
ARTICLE III-FINANCIAL PROVISIONS

on of Designee Management as well as the value of utilizing d-
esignees and delegated facilities, and its associated statuto-
ry authority. It will also address areas such as privileges,
appointments, and supervision.
B.Should additional services be required, the date, duration, a-
nd estimated cost of such services will be agreed to by the P-
arties in a written amendment to this Appendix or in a separa-
te appendix.
ARTICLE III-FINANCIAL PROVISIONS
A.The estimated cost for two specialists for the referenced per-
iod is twenty thousand, seventy eight ($20,078) U.S. dollars,
which includes salary and benefits, transportation, per diem,
AIT support and an administrative overhead charge.
B.TECRO will reimburse AIT for the actual costs incurred by AIT
in providing the services under this Appendix and an administ-
rative overhead charge.
