1.Signed on November 16, 2011; Entered into Force on November 16, 2011.
 
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel-Aviv (TECO) and
the Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (ISECO),
(hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”),

In Order to further encourage the cooperation in water
technologies through knowledge and technology transfer, research
, and product standardisation,

WHEREAS water technologies include the fields of water resource
management, water purification/treatment for public and
industrial consumption including desalination, wastewater
treatment, recycling and reuse, and irrigation,

Have Agreed to cooperate in the following:

i. Exchange of experts and scholars in the area of water for
related developments.
ii. Exchange of technologies, data, and information in the areas
of water including upcoming major government project
opportunities.
iii. Conduct of joint seminars, workshops and training courses
in the area of water technologies.
iv. Products and standardisation in water technologies.
v. Cooperation on disaster recovery effort, including knowledge
and technology transfer, personnel training, and procurement
and supply of relevant products, equipments, and services
during times of emergency.

The Parties agree to set up respective points of contact:
For Taiwan:
Division Chief, Planning Division of Water Resources Agency
Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan
For Israel:
Director, Israel NEWTech
Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Israel

The primary roles of the aforementioned points of contact will
be to:
i. Maintain regular communications between the Parties;
ii. Discuss and develop annual programs to be agreed upon by the
Parties for each subsequent year before the end of November in
each calendar year.

The Parties agree to promptly inform each other, should there be
personnel change for the point of contact.

This Memorandum of Understanding shall enter into force on the
date of the latter signature, and remain valid for a period of
three years and be automatically extended for additional periods
of three years each, unless six-month prior notice of
termination has been given by either party to the other.

Done in duplicate in the English language.
