Ⅰ Note from Mr. Xujati Pramoolpol, acting Director-General of
Department of Technical and Economic Cooperation, Kingdom of
Thailand, to Mr. Ma Chi-chuang, Chinese Ambassador to Thaila-
nd.

Excellency,
I have the honour to refer to the consultation between the Thai
authorities headed by Mr. Apilas Osatananda, Deputy-Director of
the Department of Technical and Economic Cooperation and the Re-
public of China's Representatives headed by Mr. William Sun, Ec-
onomic Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Ba-
ngkok held at the Department of Technical and Economic Cooperat-
ion on May 28,1974 concerning the Agreement on Technical and Ec-
onomic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Ch-
ina done at Taipei on June 25,1968, Article IV(1) and (3) of wh-
ich provide that the said Agreement shall remain valid for a pe-
riod of three years and that it may be renewed by mutual agreem-
ent for a further specified period, and the notes of exchange,
both of November 27,1970, between His Excellency Pote Sarasin,
Minister of National Development of the Kingdom of Thailand and
His Excellency Yun-Suan Sun, Minister of Economic Affairs of the
Republic of China of which the aforesaid Agreement was renewed
for a further period of three years until June 25,1974.
In this connection, it was agreed that the said Agreement be fu-
rther extended for another period of three years until June 25,1
977, subject to the same terms and conditions as laid down in t-
he original Agreement, except those provisions in Article IV (2)
which have been amended to read as follows:
〞(2) This Agreement shall remain valid for a period of three y-
ears. Should a Contracting Party wish to terminate this Agreeme-
nt before its expiration date, notification in writing should be
given to the other contracting Party as to the intended date of
termination of the Agreement.〞
It was further agreed that Article IV (4) of the original Agree-
ment be deleted.
If the above agreements are acceptable to the Government of the
Republic of China I have the honour to propose that this Note a-
nd Your Excellency's reply Note concurring therein shall consti-
tute an Agreement between our two Government in this matter.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consid-
eration.

Ⅱ Note from Mr. William Sun, Economic Counsellor of Chinese Em-
bassy in Thailand, to Mr. Xujeti Pramoopol, Acting Director-
General of Department of Technical and Economic Cooperation,
Kingdom of Thailand.

Mr. Director-General,
I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your Note of today's
date, addressed to His Excellency Admiral Ma Chichuang, which r-
eads as follows:
〞I have the honour to refer to consultation between the Thai a-
uthorities headed by Mr. Apilas Osatananda, Deputy-Director of
the Department of Technical and Economic Cooperation and the Re-
public of China's representatives headed by Mr. William Sun, Ec-
onomic Counsellor of the Embassy of the kingdom of Thailand and
the Government of the Republic of China in Bangkok held at the
Department of Technical and Economic Cooperation on May 28,1974
concerning the Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation
between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Gorve-
nment of the Republic of China done at Taipei on June 25,1968,
Article IV (1) and (3) of which provide that the said Agreement
shall remain valid for a period of three years and that it may
be renewed by mutual agreement for a further specified period,
and the notes of exchange, both of November 27,1970, between His
Excellency Pote Sarasin, Minister of National Development of the
Kingdom if Thailand and His Excellency Yun-Suan Sun, Minister of
Economic Affairs of the Republic of China of which the aforesaid
Agreement was renewed for a further period of three years until
June 25,1974.

It was further agreed that Article IV (4) of the original Agree-
ment be deleted.
If the above agreements are acceptable to the Government of the
Repbulic of China, I have the honour to propose that this Note
and Your Excellency's reply Note concurring therein shall const-
itute an Agreement between our two Governments in this matter.〞
In reply, I have the honour to inform you on behalf of my Gover-
nment that the Government of the Republic of China accepts the
proposals of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand set forth
in your note as quoted above and to confirm that your note and
this note in reply shall constitute an Agreement between our two
Governments on this matter to enter into force on today's date.
