Upon signature below by both parties involved, the above Techni-
cal Assistance Agreement (Agreement) dated July 13, 1987, is he-
reby amended as follows:
a.Article XII is hereby amended to extend the effective date of
the said Agreement to July 13,2002, unless terminated earlier
by either party. In the event of termination of the Agreement,
arrangements will be made for completion of activities already
underway pursuant thereto.
b.Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement is hereby amended to change
the name ”Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA)”to ”Bureau of
Water Resources, MOEA,”and change the name ”Taiwan Provinci-
al Water Conservancy Bureau (TPWCB)”to ”Taiwan Provincial G-
overnment Water Resources Department (TPGWRD).”
All other articles of the Agreement remain in effect.
