MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN CHINA AIRLINES LIMITED AND THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED CONCERNING THE EXEMPTION FROM BUSINESS TAX LEVIED ON REVENUE DERIVED FROM THE OPERATION OF AIRCRAFT IN INTERNATIONAL TRAFFIC (AD.1989.3.28)

1.Signed on March 28, 1986 Entered into force on April 1, 1986
THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED with offices at 89 Vibhavadi
Rangsit Road, Bangkok (hereinafter referred as the party or the
other party, as the context required) and CHINA AIRLINES LIMIT-
ED with offices at 131, Section 3. Nanking East Road, Taipei (h-
ereinafter referred as the party or the other party, as the con-
text required), being desirous offurthering the cooperation bet-
ween the two Airlines, have mutually agreed as follows :
1 Each party shall proceed to obtain for the other party an exe-
mption from business Tax levied on revenue derived from the o-
peration of aircraft in international traffic.
2 Each party understands that the provisions of paragraph 1 of
this Memorandum shall apply to the Business Tax levied on rev-
enue derived by the other party as from April 1, 1986.
