WHEREAS the Fifty-sixth World Health Assembly adopted the World
Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control at
Geneva on 21 May 2003.

In accordance with constitutional procedures, I hereby ratify
and accept, in the name of the Government of the Republic of
China, the said Convention and provide this Instrument of
Accession.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have signed this Instrument ofAccession
and have affixed hereto the National Seal.

Done at Taipei on this twenty-fifth day of the third month of
the ninety-fourth year of the Republic of China, corresponding
to the twenty-fifth day of March of the year two thousand and
five in the Gregorian calendar.
