法規名稱: MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EXECUTIVE YUAN REPUBLIC OF CHINA(TAIWAN)AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH, MONGOLIA

沿革:
1.Signed on March 17, 2005; Entered into force on March 17, 2005.

 
The Department of Health, Executive Yuan, Republic of China
(Taiwan), and the Ministry of Health, Mongolia, hereinafter
referred to as "the Parties", desiring to improve the health of
the peoples of Taiwan and Mongolia, to promote mutual
understanding and friendly relations, and to cooperate on
medical services.
Have agreed as follows:
1.The Responsibilities of the Parties:
(1)The Parties may designate respectively a representative
agency to administer this MOU. For the Department of
Health, Executive Yuan, Republic of China (Taiwan), the
representative agency is Taipei Trade and Economic
Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar; and for the Ministry
of Health, Mongolia, the representative agency is
Ulaanbaatar Trade and Economic Representative Office in
Taipei.
(2)The Parties and/or representative agencies may:
i. Hold at least one meeting per year in Taiwan or
Mongolia for the planning of measures designed to
improve health services and the training of medical
staff.
ii. Promote and facilitate the exchange of experiences
pertaining to health, including the areas such as 1.
communicable diseases (e.g., tuberculosis, dengue
fever, HIV/AIDS), and 2. non-communicable diseases (
e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular diseases,
cerebrovascular diseases, gout, hypertension); 3.
behavioral risk factors (e.g., obesity, insufficient
physical activity, poor diet, and substance abuse,
especially alcohol, betel nuts and cigarettes); and 4.
environment-related and genetic risk factors (e.g.,
hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia).
iii.Promote and facilitate the development of direct
contact between or among academic institutions,
hospitals and non-governmental organizations, and
appeal to local governmental bodies, tribal authorities
and traditional leaders to support these endeavors.
iv. Promote and assist the participation of the Parties in
activities in international organizations.
v. Promote medical services and personnel exchanges,
including staff training in the area of medicine and
health technology.

2.Application of this MOU:
(1)The MOU of funding for any exchanges facilitated under this
MOU will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
(2)This MOU shall enter into force from the date of its
signature by the Parties (or upon the accomplishment of the
legal procedures of the Parties).
(3)Either Party may request consultations concerning this MOU
by written notice.
(4)Either Party may suspend the application of this MOU and
shall notify the other Party of its decision in writing as
soon as possible. The notice shall contain reason(s) for
suspension.
(5)Either Party may terminate this MOU by giving three months'
written notice in advance to the other Party.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, being duly authorized by
their respective Ministries, have signed this MOU.
