1. MINISTRY OF LABOR Order is hereby given, for announcing the measures to regulate the voltage reducing devices for AC arc welding equipment have to be subject to type certification, in accordance with Paragraph 1, Article 8 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. As of 1 July 2018, all such products shall pass type certification before they are placed on the market.
2. The C.C.C.Code of the regulated AC arc welding equipment will be 8515.39.00.00-7 (machines and apparatus for arc (including plasma arc) welding of metals, not automatic).
3. The CNS 4782 amended by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) on 10 January, 2018 will be adopted as the type certification standard of voltage reducing devices for the regulated AC arc welding equipment.
4. The type 4 of table 1, Section 5.2 (functions and activities in product certification schemes) of Chapter 5 (product certification schemes) in ISO/IEC 17067-2013 will be adopted as the type certification scheme of voltage reducing devices for the regulated AC arc welding equipment.
